2013 by the numbers

2013 was certainly a busy one!  I don’t remember a busier work year, and my life was pretty busy as well.  I think it’s good to look back and remember just how much fun I had, too!  I sat down with my calendar and came up with the following numbers...

  • Theater visits: 74 (I’m counting all the Humana plays in here)
  • Ballet visits: 13
  • Opera visits: 2
  • Readings/workshops: 13 (I’m counting all the NAMT readings in here)
  • Concerts: 4
  • Marionette shows: 2 (whee!)
  • Events starring my beautiful goddaughters:  3
  • New museums: 1 (super lazy – need to do better in 2014)
  • New restaurants: 14
  • Movies:  uh, 4?  I can’t remember!
  • Trips for work:  5
  • Gay weddings: 1 (woo hoo!)
  • Idols met: 1 (double woo hoo!)

**Here are my 2013 Favorite Theater Pieces.  These are in no particular order…

  • The Piano Lesson
  • Talley’s Folly
  • Ragtime concert
  • A Public Reading of an Unproduced Screenplay about Walt Disney
  • Old Hats
  • The Testament of Mary
  • Clybourne Park (at Long Wharf)
  • Cheri
  • The Explorer’s Club
  • The Model Apartment
  • The Dying Gaul (reading at the Vineyard)
  • The Glass Menagerie
  • Twelfth Night
